Archive Activity Management System
The contract covers replacement software for the British Film Institute (BFI) National Archive’s bespoke system for tracking activity on collection items, which has reached the end of its operational life. The BFI is a national cultural and film heritage organisation, and the system will support internal Archive staff in requesting, recording, monitoring and reporting interactions or activities carried out on collections items. The software must support services and projects including the Research Viewing Service, archive bookings for FIAF members, donor access and restoration work, while processing no financial data. The estimated contract value is £170,000, although the available information does not specify the contract duration or delivery locations. The critical requirement is that the proposed system must provide the functionality needed to manage and report on collection-item activities and enable these essential Archive services.
