Asbestos Survey and Analytical Works for Wrexham County Borough Council
Wrexham County Borough Council, the local authority responsible for public services in Wrexham, is procuring a single contractor for asbestos surveying, inspection, analytical and related consultancy services. The scope includes surveys and re-inspections of domestic properties and Council-managed buildings, demolition and refurbishment surveys, bulk sampling and analysis, reassurance air testing, analytical work and site supervision connected with asbestos removal, water absorption testing, management plans and reports, consultancy advice, and asbestos awareness training; asbestos removal itself is excluded. The contractor must provide a flexible, scalable service across all Wrexham County Borough, including Council-owned or managed schools, commercial units, community centres, public buildings and potentially private properties under the Council’s responsibility. The initial contract term is four years, with an option to extend by two years, subject to satisfactory performance; no estimated value has been published. The critical eligibility requirement is that the successful bidder must deliver the work directly without subcontracting any element, and it cannot bid for the Council’s planned asbestos removal contract or be part of the same business group as a bidder for that contract.
