Bolton Urban Cricket Centre
Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council, a local government authority, is seeking a suitably qualified supplier to develop and potentially deliver a five-lane recreational cricket dome at Ladybridge High School, including associated landscaping and site works. The supplier must provide proposals and separate prices for the full potential project across RIBA Stages 1–6, with the initial appointment covering only Stages 1–3 and any later delivery subject to the Authority’s decision. The facility must be designed and installed in accordance with the ECB Covered Outdoor Cricket Facilities Design Guide, supported by the site information and detailed requirements issued with the tender. The estimated total project value is below £1.5 million inclusive of all project costs, although this figure covers the potential overall project rather than the initial Stages 1–3 appointment; Contract 1 is intended to commence on 23 November 2026. Delivery is at Ladybridge High School in Bolton, with no wider delivery region specified. The critical requirement is that bidders are suitably qualified to undertake the project and comply with the ECB design guide.
