Brodick Country Park Conservation Works
The contract covers conservation works at Brodick Country Park for the National Trust for Scotland, a heritage and conservation organisation responsible for managing historic landscapes, gardens and natural habitats. It is divided into two lots: replacing defective stock-fence sections in two Castle Parks fields, including posts, strainers, wire and fittings while retaining serviceable materials where appropriate, and controlling invasive Rhododendron ponticum through stem injection as part of its ongoing eradication programme. The fencing works must maintain secure livestock enclosures and support conservation grazing, while the rhododendron treatment must help protect semi-natural woodland biodiversity and reduce the risk associated with disease-host plants. The estimated contract value and duration are not specified. Delivery is at Brodick Country Park on the Isle of Arran, within the UKM region. The key stated qualification requirement is not specified in the available tender information; bidders must be capable of carrying out both specialist fencing and invasive-species control works.
