Cork North Docks – Quay Wall Structural Survey
The contract covers a structural survey of the Cork North Docks quay wall, including assessment of all submerged elements, to establish its current condition and integrity. Cork City Council, the local government authority responsible for municipal services and infrastructure in Cork, requires the supplier to identify defects, deterioration, damage and risks to structural stability before the North Docks scheme begins. The work must determine remedial measures needed for the quay walls to safely support construction loads, an approximately 800 mm fill raise, associated surfacing overlay and revised public realm loading, while also identifying works that can be deferred to preserve long-term structural integrity. The supplier must provide a prioritised, phased programme of remedial recommendations detailed enough to support planning and procurement of subsequent works. The estimated contract value and duration are not specified; delivery is in the Cork North Docks area of Ireland, within region IE053. The critical qualification requirement is not stated in the available tender information.
