Cymru Can Strategy Review
The contract covers expert research and evaluation support for an independent review of the effectiveness of Cymru Can, the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales’s strategy for 2023–2030, and recommendations for updating it during the remaining three years of the Commissioner’s term. The buyer is the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales, a public-sector office established under the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 to advise, support and monitor Welsh public bodies in pursuing long-term well-being and safeguarding future generations. The successful consultant will assess the strategy and its five missions—Implementation and Impact, Climate and Nature, Health and Well-being, Culture and Welsh Language, and A Well-being Economy—using the forthcoming Future Trends report and internal and external data, reports and annual performance information. The estimated contract value is £12,500, with the work focused on the strategy’s mid-point review and informing the remainder of the Commissioner’s term. Delivery is in Wales, specifically UKL22. The critical requirement is demonstrable expert capability in independent research and evaluation of strategy effectiveness.
