DCWW 2113 - Low Value Small Works
Dwr Cymru Cyfyngedig (DCC), a Welsh water and wastewater utility, is establishing a framework for low-value construction, repair, maintenance and improvement works across its operational and non-operational estate in Wales. The scope is divided between North Wales and South Wales and covers four specialist areas in each region: domestic building maintenance, civil engineering and groundworks, mechanical works, and electrical works, delivered through planned or reactive individual job instructions. Each job is expected to have a maximum value of £20,000, with pricing based on framework labour rates, materials at cost plus the agreed mark-up, and pre-agreed plant and equipment rates. The framework will run for an initial two years, with options for three further two-year extensions, giving a potential maximum duration of eight years; no total estimated contract value has been published. The critical qualification is that bidders must be appointed to the relevant regional specialist sub-lot, with call-offs generally directed to the appointed supplier whose registered business location or operational depot is closest to the required works site.
