DHSC: LERO Development and Resilience Project
The Department of Health and Social Care, the UK government department responsible for health and adult social care policy and services, is procuring a three-year national development and resilience project for lived experience recovery organisations (LEROs). From 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2030, the supplier will support emerging and established LEROs, recovery communities and local authorities through peer-led mentoring, bespoke learning opportunities, reusable good-practice resources and support for local authority commissioners. The scope includes strengthening governance, leadership, financial management, fundraising and workforce development, while helping local areas create the conditions for independent, peer-led LEROs and recovery initiatives to develop and sustain within recovery-oriented systems of care. Delivery is national, although specific regions or sites are not stated, and no estimated contract value is available. The most critical requirement is the ability to provide credible specialist and peer-led support to both LERO leaders and local authorities, building on learning from the previous capacity-building project.
