INVITATION TO TENDER External Timber Cladding Remedial Works Galeri Caernarfon Galeri Caernarfon invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake remedial works to the existing external timber cladding system at Galeri, Doc Victoria, Caernarfon. The purpose of the project is to remediate defects within the existing timber cladding façade, extend its service life, improve weather resistance and ensure the continued safe performance of the building envelope. Tenderers are required to provide all labour, materials, plant, access equipment, supervision and associated services necessary to complete the works described within this Invitation to Tender. Project Overview The works comprise the careful removal and reinstatement of existing timber cladding, replacement of breather membrane and battens, installation of new timber where required, and all associated access provisions. The existing cladding has been constructed in timber. It is intended that approximately 80% of existing timber boards will be salvaged and reused where practicable. Galeri intends to appoint a competent contractor capable of carrying out the works safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to the operation of the building.
