Four Year Framework Agreement for Main Building Contractors for New Build Housing with a possible one year extension
The contract covers a four-year framework for main building contractors to deliver new-build housing construction works for Link Group, a Scottish housing organisation, with a possible one-year extension. The scope may include design and construction, rehabilitation of existing properties, office and commercial buildings, extensions, community facilities, adaptations and planned maintenance, with projects spanning mainstream, special-needs, affordable, private rented and market-sale housing. Contractors will be expected to deliver high-quality, value-for-money projects ranging from 5 to 500 units, including flats, houses and retirement living schemes, and individual commissions may be awarded through direct selection or mini-competition without any guaranteed volume of work. The framework has an estimated value of £840 million and may be used by Link’s subsidiaries, partner organisations and Registered Social Landlords operating in Scotland with Link’s agreement. Projects will mainly be in Scotland’s Central Belt, Argyll and Bute, and Highland, but may arise anywhere in Scotland; the key qualification is demonstrable social-housing experience on projects of 5 to 500 units with mixed tenures.
