Framework for the supply of Adult and Paediatric Nutrition Products
The contract covers a multi-provider framework for supplying adult and paediatric nutrition products to members of the East Midlands Pharmacy Collaborative (EMPC). The buying authority is University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust, an NHS healthcare organisation, acting through the collaborative for participating trusts and other purchasing authorities. Required supplies include standard manufacturers’ bags, trust-stocked bags using specified formulations, and fully bespoke bags with additions, with call-off decisions based on product availability, patient suitability, shelf life, price, lead times, delivery requirements, supplier performance against agreed KPIs and service levels, and local clinical and operational needs. The framework will run for an initial two years, with an optional two-year extension by agreement, giving a maximum duration of four years; no estimated contract value or delivery regions are stated. The critical qualification requirement is the ability to supply products and services in accordance with the Invitation to Tender, Commercial Schedule and specified formulations, including bespoke nutrition bags where required.
