Healthy Weight Service
The contract covers delivery of a redesigned Healthy Weight Service for the London Borough of Hounslow, a local authority responsible for public services and population health in the borough. The provider will deliver a whole-systems, prevention-focused offer supporting residents to adopt and maintain healthier behaviours, including universal support, early intervention, evidence-based weight management and links with community initiatives and healthier food and built environments. Service delivery must be outcomes-focused and demonstrate sustainable improvements in healthy weight, health and wellbeing, while addressing health inequalities and providing robust engagement, monitoring and evaluation. The service must apply recognised behaviour-change approaches, including the COM-B Model and Behaviour Change Wheel, with interventions designed around barriers and enablers, achievable goals, self-monitoring, problem-solving and improved self-efficacy. The contract value, duration and specific delivery locations are not stated in the available information; delivery is expected across the London Borough of Hounslow. The critical qualification is experience delivering comparable healthy weight or behaviour-change services using evidence-based practice and demonstrating measurable outcomes.
