Jesus Green Riverside Wall Repairs
Cambridge City Council, the local authority responsible for municipal services in Cambridge, is seeking a contractor for works to repair and stabilise the riverside wall at Jesus Green. The scope includes completing the design, repairing the existing wall, constructing a new sheet-pile wall with infill and capping, and tying it into modified sections of the existing wall and footpath structure. The contractor must also modify drainage and outfalls, replace the foul-water drainage serving Jesus Green Lido, protect and coordinate utilities, provide temporary works and construction access, and manage river-based deliveries, fencing, footpath diversions and public access. On completion, affected footpaths, paving, grassed areas and riverbank surfaces must be reinstated. No contract value, duration, delivery region beyond Jesus Green in Cambridge, or specific certification requirement is provided; the critical qualification is the ability to design and safely deliver complex riverside civil engineering and wall-stabilisation works while maintaining public access and existing services.
