Leighton Linslade Town Council Waste Contract
Leighton Linslade Town Council is procuring waste management services across five sites in its portfolio. As a local government organisation, the Council requires a contractor to provide adaptable waste collections that respond to changing seasonal demand and can expand as additional land or sites are acquired. The scope includes proposing alternatives to landfill, supporting the Council’s biodiversity and ecology objectives, and demonstrating practical measures to reduce carbon emissions in line with its commitment to carbon neutrality by 2030. The estimated contract value is £270,000, although the contract duration is not stated in the available information. Delivery is centred on sites in the LU7 1HD area. The critical qualification requirement is that bidders must demonstrate a firm commitment to reducing their carbon footprint and protecting the environment, including credible consideration of alternatives to landfill.
