London's Violence Reduction Unit - Pan London Tertiary Service
The contract covers a pan-London Tertiary Service for young people aged 11–25 experiencing the highest levels of harm, vulnerability, violence and exploitation. The buyer is the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC), with the service hosted and commissioned by London’s Violence Reduction Unit (VRU), a public-sector partnership focused on violence prevention and early intervention through a public health approach. The provider will deliver intensive, relationship-based one-to-one support, respond to immediate safeguarding concerns, build trusted relationships with young people affected by trauma or disengagement, and coordinate personalised assistance across mental health, housing, education, employment, safeguarding and other specialist services. The estimated contract value is £14,832,385; the available details indicate that the service is intended to replace the Violence and Exploitation Support Service when its contract ends in June 2027, but do not state the new contract duration. Delivery is required across London. The critical qualification requirement is the demonstrated ability to provide specialist, intensive and coordinated support to young people facing serious violence, exploitation and complex safeguarding needs.
