Nature recovery and intangible cultural heritage
Natural England, the public body responsible for advising on and protecting England’s natural environment, is commissioning services to examine how Intangible Cultural Heritage (also known as Living Heritage) practices can contribute to nature recovery projects. The contractor will conduct a review of published and grey literature, then prepare a draft annexe to existing guidance using a supplied template for discussion and agreement with partner organisations. The work must also include a selection of short case studies showing how these practices are, or could be, applied in nature recovery, together with publication-ready photographs and the permissions required to use them. The estimated contract value is £20,833, with the available information indicating a UK-wide delivery location and no stated contract duration. The critical qualification requirement is the demonstrated capability to undertake the specified literature review and develop evidence-based guidance on Intangible Cultural Heritage in nature recovery.
