NEET Prevention & Reduction Service
Manchester City Council, a local government authority, is commissioning an integrated NEET Prevention and Reduction Service to help fulfil its statutory duties for participation, tracking and support for young people aged 16 and 17. The service must use a preventative, intelligence-led approach to reduce the number of young people not in education, employment or training and reduce unknown destinations. It will provide holistic support, engagement, referral and signposting to specialist services for 13–16-year-olds at risk of becoming NEET; 16- and 17-year-olds who are NEET or at risk of disengagement; young people up to age 25 with an Education, Health and Care Plan; Manchester care leavers; and other identified vulnerable groups. The estimated contract value is £3,043,200, although the contract duration is not stated, and delivery is within Manchester and the UKD3 region. The critical qualification requirement is the ability to deliver the specified statutory participation, tracking and re-engagement support for these vulnerable young people.
