Neville Hill 195 Heavy Maintenance Outline Designs
Northern Trains Ltd, a train operating company providing passenger rail services in the North of England, is procuring outline design and consultancy services for a proposed Neville Hill facility supporting heavy maintenance of its Class 195 fleet. The supplier will assess how the maintenance facility can be provided at Neville Hill, taking account of operational constraints, site layout, engineering infrastructure standards, electrified roads, movement control, walkways, lighting and associated supporting works. The scope includes a feasibility assessment and options appraisal for each element, enabling Northern stakeholders to select and recommend a preferred single option for progression to the design stage under a JCT Consultancy Agreement. The estimated contract value is £2.1 million, with the available notice not specifying the contract duration or delivery timeframe. Work will be delivered at Neville Hill in the UKE42 region of the United Kingdom. The critical qualification requirement is the ability to deliver compliant rail-maintenance-facility feasibility and outline design work within the operational and engineering constraints of an active train operating company site.
