The contract covers a multi-award framework for high-tech homecare medicines services procured by Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust on behalf of the North East & Yorkshire NHS Pharmaceutical Purchasing Consortium, supporting NHS Trusts and other publicly funded healthcare bodies. Services are divided into six lots covering unlicensed compounded desferrioxamine; unlicensed compounded antimicrobials; unlicensed compounded chemotherapy and monoclonal antibodies; other unlicensed compounded medicines; metabolic disorders medicines; and other non-compounded high-tech homecare medicines. Suppliers will be expected to provide the relevant medicines and associated homecare services required by participating Trusts, with access for non-member publicly funded entities subject to prior approval by the Authority. The estimated value and initial contract duration are not specified, although the documentation refers to an optional 24-month extension. Delivery locations are not individually specified but are expected to be within the North East and Yorkshire region, with potential provision to approved non-member Trusts. The critical qualification requirement is the ability to deliver the specific high-tech homecare medicines service requirements of the lot or lots bid for, including any applicable unlicensed compounding capability.
