Pre Front Door Integrated Urgent Care Services
NHS Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board (CW ICB), the NHS organisation responsible for planning and commissioning healthcare across Coventry and Warwickshire, is procuring a comprehensive Pre-Front Door Integrated Urgent Care model. The contract requires one accountable Lead Provider for each area—Coventry (Lot 1) and Warwickshire (Lot 2)—to design, mobilise, deliver and continuously improve an integrated urgent care pathway. Scope includes interfaces with NHS 111, GP out-of-hours services, urgent treatment and minor injury units, ambulance conveyance alternatives, emergency department front-door streaming, same-day emergency care, diagnostics, community response, neighbourhood urgent care and mental health crisis services. The estimated value is £203,957,880, with an expected five-year term beginning 1 September 2027 and an option to extend by up to five further years, covering delivery across Coventry and Warwickshire (UKG33 and UKG13). The critical qualification is the capacity to act as a single Lead Provider with sufficient scale, experience and system leadership to integrate all interdependent services and existing providers into one clinically governed, accountable model.
