Provision of Hospital Based Domestic Abuse Advocacy (HBDAA) Services
The contract covers hospital-based domestic abuse advocacy services for children and young people aged 11–25 who attend London Major Trauma Centres after domestic abuse, sexual abuse, rape, sexual exploitation, gender-based harm or related safeguarding concerns. The buyer is the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC), a public-sector policing and crime-reduction organisation working through London’s Violence Reduction Unit (VRU). The provider must proactively identify, assess and engage eligible young people, provide practical support and advocacy during crisis, coordinate safeguarding with hospital, clinical and community partners, and continue support beyond discharge where required to promote safety, recovery and reduced violence or readmission. Services will be delivered at King’s College Hospital, Royal London Hospital, St George’s Hospital and St Mary’s Hospital in London, within the United Kingdom. The estimated value and contract duration are not specified; the single critical qualification is the ability to demonstrate strong understanding of and established connections with the local communities and systems surrounding the allocated hospitals.
