Technical and Highways Works Framework
Salford City Council, a local authority responsible for public services and transport infrastructure in Salford, is establishing a framework for technical, highways, structures, and landscape works supporting its Highway Infrastructure Asset Management Plan. The scope includes minor and major road and footway resurfacing, network management improvements, highway alteration and active travel schemes, junction remodelling, new and existing highway structures, and hard and soft landscaping with associated maintenance periods. Suppliers may be required to provide all labour, supervision, plant, materials, traffic management, testing, temporary works, and ancillary activities needed to complete call-off projects, with awards made through ranking or further competition depending on the lot and value. The estimated total framework value is approximately £300 million excluding VAT, although budgets may vary annually and appointment does not guarantee work; the framework is intended to reopen in years three and six. Delivery is across the City of Salford, with no more specific regions or sites stated. Bidders must be suitably qualified and experienced contractors able to deliver the relevant works in accordance with the service specification, pricing schedule, and call-off contract.
