Tees Bird Mapping Project
The contract covers the Tees Bird Mapping Project for the Teesmouth & Cleveland Coast, producing fine-scale maps and analysis of how designated bird species use supporting habitats, FLL and brownfield habitats. Natural England, the public body responsible for protecting and improving England’s natural environment, is procuring these environmental research and analysis services. Required deliverables are a report setting out the methods, results and discussion, GIS mapping layers that enable users to interrogate the analysis, and a short guidance document explaining how to use the mapping tool. The project concerns the Teesmouth & Cleveland Coast SSSI, SPA and Ramsar sites, which support more than 20,000 overwintering coastal birds as well as designated qualifying species. The estimated contract value is £33,330, with no contract duration stated, and delivery is in the UKC region of the United Kingdom. The critical requirement is the ability to deliver technically robust bird-use analysis together with usable GIS outputs and supporting documentation for the designated sites.
