Teleradiology Reporting Services
County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, an NHS provider operating two acute hospitals and several non-acute sites across County Durham and Darlington, is procuring a single-supplier teleradiology reporting service. The contract covers MRI, CT, plain film and nuclear medicine reporting, including limited specialist radiologist reporting, for urgent and emergency cases 24 hours a day, seven days a week, together with elective reporting. The supplier must maintain the Trust’s required turnaround times, provide exclusive out-of-hours coverage, and flex capacity to accommodate changing demand, with no guaranteed reporting volume and alternative providers potentially used for non-out-of-hours work. The estimated contract value is £9 million, with the contract duration not stated in the available information. Services will support the Trust’s sites and patient population across County Durham and Darlington, within the listed UK regions. The critical qualification is the ability to deliver continuous urgent and emergency reporting while meeting the Trust’s specified turnaround times.
