TfGM - Cloud Public Address System
The contract covers the provision of a secure, resilient, cloud-hosted Public Address (PA) system and associated services for Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM), the public transport authority responsible for transport services across Greater Manchester. The supplier will provide a centrally managed system with main and failover capability, supporting real-time passenger information, site-specific passenger safety and security messages, and event-driven announcements from the Operations Control Centre and designated local site coordinators. The scope includes integration with IP speakers, audio gateways, AFILs, paging stations and user clients, plus interfaces with legacy Long Line PA systems during transition and third-party platforms such as Cisco Unified Call Manager. Delivery will cover TfGM Transport Service Facilities in Greater Manchester and the wider UKD3 region, with the contract value and duration not specified. The critical requirement is the ability to deliver and integrate a cloud-based PA service with TfGM’s existing on-net devices, legacy systems and required third-party interfaces.
