The Integrated Community Equipment Loan Service
The contract covers West Northamptonshire Council’s Integrated Community Equipment Loan Service, providing community equipment to support independence, safer living, hospital avoidance and discharge, rehabilitation, reablement, palliative and end-of-life care, continuing healthcare, and longer-term community support. The Council is a local authority operating in the public sector, and the provider will supply, assess, install, maintain and provide aftercare for equipment, including equipment purchased privately at contract rates. The scope also requires collaboration with commissioners to develop and maintain an accessible online self-assessment tool that helps people and carers identify needs and receive information and signposting on suitable equipment. The estimated contract value is £94,955,860, with an initial five-year term from 1 April 2027 and options to extend by three further one-year periods. Delivery is across UKF2, United Kingdom. The critical qualification requirement is the ability to deliver the full integrated service, including direct liaison with self-funding users, timely equipment provision, installation and aftercare.
