The supplier will clean a diverse fleet of approximately 200 vehicles, including cars, refuse and recycling collection vehicles, adapted buses, tractors and vehicles up to 32,000 kg, with around 80 vehicles expected to require approximately six steam cleans annually. The scope also includes maintaining the designated vehicle wash bay, vehicle wash ramp and recessed wash ramp area in a clean condition, with services required mainly during weekday operating hours but potentially during evenings, weekends and bank holidays. The estimated contract value is £150,000, with the contract duration not stated in the available information and demand not guaranteed. Delivery will take place at Hardshaw Brook Depot, WA9 1JR, in the UKD7 region, which operates continuously throughout the year. The critical operational requirement is the ability to provide the specified steam-cleaning services at the Council’s depot, including outside normal working hours when required.

The Council has a diverse fleet of approximately 200 vehicles ranging from cars to 32,000 kg roll on / off vehicles, 25 plus refuse collection vehicles with another 25 plus recycling collection vehicles, coach built adapted buses to tractors and many more. Approximately 80 of these vehicles require around 6 steam cleans per year. Normal working hours for most of the fleet are Monday to Friday 6.00am to 6pm, although due to the nature of the various services some weekend and bank holiday work is undertaken. Whilst most vehicles can be made available during these periods some will need to be completed either after 6pm or at weekends.
