Co-design, Testing and Validation of a National MDT Support Offer for Welsh Local Authorities
Social Care Wales, the national organisation supporting and regulating social care in Wales, is commissioning the co-design, testing and validation of a national Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) support offer for local authorities. The supplier will engage stakeholders, review relevant existing provision, and develop an evidence-informed, practical and implementation-ready support model that addresses current system challenges, complements existing improvement activity, and can be scaled sustainably across Wales. The work includes testing and feasibility assessment, refinement of the model, and production of a clear pathway for potential national rollout, but excludes extensive national mapping, options appraisal and delivery of the future service. The estimated contract value is £50,000, with no contract duration or completion timeframe stated. Delivery will cover local authorities across Wales, including West Wales and the Valleys, East Wales, Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan, Powys, and the other listed Welsh regions. The critical requirement is the ability to deliver stakeholder-led co-design, testing and validation of an MDT support model for Welsh local authorities.
